Cancer Awareness and Prevention
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States. Almost half of all cancer deaths can be prevented with early detection and treatment. Hispanic women have the highest incidence of cervical cancer – more than twice that of non-Hispanic white women.
There are many Cancer preventative actions you can take. Moderate regular exercise reduces your cancer risk at least 40 percent. Eat a healthy well- balanced diet with little or no red meat, and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Maintain regular gynecological examinations: including Pap smears and Mammograms. Perform monthly breast self exams.
