Down Syndrome Care

Down syndrome is a developmental disorder caused by an error in cell division that results in an extra 21 chromosome. Having an extra copy of this chromosome means that, each gene may produce more protein product than normal.
Some of the most common physical signs of Down Syndrome are upward slanting eyes, flattened facial features, ears that are small or unusually shaped, broad hands with short fingers and curved “pinky” fingers and a small head. None of these physical differences cause problems.
Caring for child with Down syndrome can be very challenging, let the experts help. At BestCare we have caregivers who have specialized in caring for children with Down Syndrome under our Medicaid program.
